Early Snow in the High Country by Marsha Clements

Just after an early snow, I took a snowmobile into the upper valley and took pictures. The snow had forced the aspen to drop the last of their leaves along this stream. They glistened in the sun on the snow like jewels. The red willows along the stream created such a beautiful contrast to the dark green evergreens. The design created by the long shadows from the aspen intrigued me as I painted the snow.
